Higher quality video

Hi all, I'm currently running dsplayer/eden for the HD audio and video quality, but it's pretty buggy. Fast forward/back can easily cause xbmc to hang.

As I understand it, dsplayer was planned as a post-eden merge, but as the primary dev for dsplayer has now left the scene, this may not happen.

With AE, it seems we now have solid HD audio. Are there any similar plans for LAV filters or other high quality video options to be integrated?
