Linux Can you show me how to compile vdr-plugin-xvdr Ubuntu 12.04?
#1
Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to install vdr-plugin-xvdr, with Ubuntu 12.04 64bit.

The VDR is from Ubuntu's repository, heres what ive done so far:
1. Downloaded pipelka / vdr-plugin-xvdr via git
2. Downloaded Ubuntu VDR source
3. moved everything to /usr/src/
4. went to make and this error happened:

Code:
blade@pangolin:/usr/src/vdr-1.7.22/PLUGINS/src/vdr-plugin-xvdr$ make
g++ -O2 -g -Wall -Woverloaded-virtual -fPIC -DPIC -fPIC -c -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -D_LARGEFILE_SOURCE -D_LARGEFILE64_SOURCE -DPLUGIN_NAME_I18N='"xvdr"' -D_GNU_SOURCE -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -D_LARGEFILE_SOURCE -D_LARGEFILE64_SOURCE -DXVDR_VERSION='"0.9.5"' -I../../../include -I../../../../DVB/include -I../../.. -I./src -I. -o src/config/config.o src/config/config.c
src/config/config.c:30:24: fatal error: vdr/plugin.h: No such file or directory
compilation terminated.
make: *** [src/config/config.o] Error 1
blade@pangolin:/usr/src/vdr-1.7.22/PLUGINS/src/vdr-plugin-xvdr$

I have no Idea what it wants from me, [besides blood from a stone]

Can you help guide me through this compile?

Thanks

Hi,

Does not work for 12.04 64bit Ubuntu tried many times..

Same problem as this guy with their VDR
https://lists.linux-foundation.org/piper...25202.html

when I enable vdr autostart in /etc/default/vdr, tda1004x doesn't 'like' my
firmware file, If I disable vdr autostart, the card will cold-boot correctly..even if i delay it file:
# /etc/default/vdr
OPTIONS="-w 60" <-- Even right up to 500 !

Ubuntu VDR works but dont have a vdr-plugin-xvdr

Hoping someone can shed much needed light..

No sorry tried that..

Seems that tda1004x is slow to load so found this:

I inserted this file 50-udev.rules.zip http://ubuntuforums.org/attachment.php?a...1262218499 to /etc/udev/rules.d/

Rebooted..

Card working, VDR loads after & cant connect is there something i did with the file that disabled VDR to connect?

VDR wont start:

have you tried using VNSI instead of XVDR?
