Fedora 16/17 with GT-520, no sound over hdmi
#1
Hi there,

I have a nvidia gt520 and i'm having hard time to make the sound working through hdmi. I'm using the latest drivers from nvidia with the latest fedora kernel (i tried with 16 and 17).

I tried many different sound config on XBMC. As it didn't work, i went to the basic sound config :

# aplay -l
**** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****
card 0: PCH [HDA Intel PCH], device 0: ALC892 Analog [ALC892 Analog]
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 0: PCH [HDA Intel PCH], device 1: ALC892 Digital [ALC892 Digital]
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 1: NVidia [HDA NVidia], device 3: HDMI 0 [HDMI 0]
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 1: NVidia [HDA NVidia], device 7: HDMI 1 [HDMI 1]
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0

i try these two commands :

# aplay -D plughw:1,3 /usr/share/sounds/alsa/Noise.wav
# aplay -D plughw:1,7 /usr/share/sounds/alsa/Noise.wav

No error is reported, but i don't have sound too ...

Any idea how i can get the sound working ?

Thanks
