Win [SOLVED] Only Analog over HDMI for MKV Files
#1
Good morning!
I'm hoping you can help me with a small issue I have. I've recently started backing up my blu-ray collection using MakeMKV, which is working great. Unfortunately, in XBMC I can only get audio for those files over my HDMI if I switch to analog. I get 5.1 audio to work fine for my other file types, just not these MKVs. Any suggestions?

Perhaps they haven't been encoded with 5.1?

Fixed! The MKVs preserved all the original audio streams from the blu-ray. I just discovered I hadn't enabled AC, etc. on my Realtek audio. In case others experience the same thing, I just opened my audio settings, double-clicked on Realtek HDMI, went into custom, and enabled "Allow AC3/DTS/WMA output".
