I was in the process of Updating drivers for my AMD A8 3850 when during uninstall/install the keyboard and mouse went dark. They both stopped working.
I tried switching USB ports. Nothing.
When I restart and go to BIOS, both keyboard and mouse function, but during startup (black windows load screen) the lights on the keyboard and mouse go out.
Anybody have any suggestions? Luckily, with teamviewer, I can control the PC and do most tasks.

what version of windows is this?
Sounds like your windows usb driver is screwed, can you try booting into safe mode?

If not, you might have to do a system repair (I assume there's no ps2 port).

Also check if your bios have usb kb/legacy settings.

Windows 7.
Tried safe mode - no mouse or keyboard.
I dont have a ps2 keyboard or mouse, unfortunately.
Will check bios for legacy.
