I love XBMC, have been using it for years but one thing that bothers me is some of the music functionality. Since most ISPs block the ability to SMB share directly, other means of connection to remote music sources have to occur. In my case I use SSHFS or SSH tunneling to get to my music as it's the only possible alternative. Once the track starts, everything is fine and it streams perfect, however buffering/starting the track takes time.
So when it switches between tracks, I have this really long delay of silence while the next track buffers and loads. It would be really nice if XBMC started pre-buffering the next track in the list when the current track got to say 1 minute of time left, this way music never pauses or breaks.
It would also be nice if there was some sort of indicator of what was occurring when a music track is buffering/downloading so we have some kind of idea of what the device is doing and not just assuming that it locked up or that it's buffering.
I use XBMC on an Apple TV 2 if that matters.
Other than that, keep up the great work guys. Hope to see this feature implemented soon.
