Forgive me this may be a dumb question. A few months back I followed the instructions to use mySQL to sync all my XBMC library's together (the problem is, I really have no idea what any of the stuff I did actually did). At the time I was serving all my media and sharing my media from my main gaming computer. Next week I have parts coming to build a small home server. I am moving all the media over there, and would like to run the mySQL server off there. What do I need to do to easily migrate the data base in the most painless way?

use mysqldump to make a backup of the data, then import it on the server.

Our MySQL (wiki) guide has a solution using path subs (wiki) if you want something really easy. Basically you tell XBMC what the old network path is, then what the new network path is, and it connects the dots.
