I'm using 11.0 Eden on a Windows 7 PC.

Using both the new xbmc remote and xbmc commander app on iOS I'm not able to connect. I believe it has something to do with the router, but I have no idea. The router I was using before I was able to connect fine (xbmc commander only, xbmc remote wasn't out yet). Here's a list of things I've tried/have enabled.

From my xbmc pc, I've entered the the ip and port number (http://xxx.xxx.x.xxx:xxxx) and was able to get to the xbmc interface to show up.
allow control of xbmc via http is enabled
upnp enabled
I left the username and password blank, but I've also tried putting in username and passwords and it didn't work
allow programs on this system to control xbmc is checked
allow programs on other system to control xbmc is checked

At this point I'm not sure what the issue could be, it seems like it could be the router, but I was able to connect to the xbmc interface, so that wouldn't be it, would it?

Thanks!

Could a mod move this to the iOS support thread? Thanks!

Actually you're going to want the Supplementary Tools forum, since the iOS forum is just for running XBMC on iOS itself. Thread moved.

You can make easy links to the XBMC wiki using double brackets around words: [[debug log]] = debug log, [[Add-on:YouTube]] = Add-on:YouTube, [[Adding videos to the library]] = Adding videos to the library, [[userdata]] = userdata, etc

Can you access the xbmc ui from your Iphones web browser?

if so then you shouldn't have a problem.

What are the ip adresses of your devices? are wireless and wired devices on the same subnet?

some users have reported successfully connection after changing the port that xbmc uses:

another one got successfully connection after checking windows firewall settings
http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...pid1126323

try to check this two things also.

Nope, I can access it from the computer that xbmc is installed on though

My ip address range from 192.168.1.101-132. 132 being xbmc.

They're also on the same subnet

UPDATE:

Issue is definitely the router. I hooked up my old n600 and it connected fine. Now I just need to figure out why. The ip for XBMC on the tomato router is 192.168.1.132 and on the n600 its 192.168.1.2. Not sure if that has anything to do with it though.
