Missing MediaInfo until title is played?
#1
Hi

I seem to have missing media info until I actually play the title and then the other icons for media info appear, is this normal ?

12 Monkey's - Has been played

Image

2001 - Not been played

Image

2001 - After its been played

Image

These titles are a mixture of HD MKV's and Blu-ray ISO's.

Info isn't extracted from ISO files. This is only done after a file is played.
This is a known limitation. Not sure but if the info is also added to the NFO files this will already be visible

Thanks for the reply, I think your right, taking a closer look all the HD MKV's display the media info right way if they have been played or not. Its just the Blu-ray ISO's that don't display it until they have been played.

I'm not sure about the NFO either? below is the contents of the NFO file for the 2001 film.

<plot>Stanley Kubrick's dazzling, Academy Award-winning achievement is a compelling drama of man vs. machine, a stunning meld of music and motion. Kubrick (who co-wrote the screenplay with Arthur C. Clarke) first visits our prehistoric ape-ancestry past, then leaps millennia via one of the most mind-blowing jump cuts ever into colonized space, and ultimately whisks astronaut Bowman (Keir Dullea) into uncharted space, perhaps even into immortality. "Open the pod bay doors, HAL". Let an awesome journey unlike any other begin.</plot>

Another question if I may? I am loving the native Blu-ray playback support in XBMC, in WMC we have to install either Arcsoft TMT or PowerDVD.

Does Blu-ray playback in XBMC only play the main movie? I assume you cannot get the menus and extras ?

Thanks

the codec are missing. You only have aspect ratio/height/width.

OK thanks I will have a read and pass on to the My Movies.DK developers.

On the first screen shot on this thread against each movie title it says things like 8.0 , 7.0 , 8.1 , 9.0 etc what is this ?

Cheers

Here was the reply from the My Movies developer:

"Indeed - it can't read this from ISO's.

My Movies currently does not store the media info for the NFO's."
