XBMC not paying attentiong to advanced settings
#1
Hi guys,
I'm relatively new to XBMC, I moved into a new house and decided to build myself an HTPC so XBMC was the winner of all the bits of software out there; hats off the developers it really is quite amazing!

I'm having some problems with the advancedsettings.xml, I've placed it in "C:\Program Files (x86)\XBMC\userdata" and here is what mine says:

Code:
<advancedsettings>

    <alwaysontop>yes</alwaysontop>

    <fullscreen>true</fullscreen>

<video>
  <defaultplayer>dsplayer</defaultplayer>
</video>

</advancedsettings>

yet the alwaysontop or fullscreeen settings don't seem to work; I can't tell if dsplayer works or not but... that's another story.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Well, I sufficiently feel like an idiot.. thanks!
Guess the tip off should have been all the other ***settings.xml files in the proper location!
Seems the alwaysontop isn't work still but it does say on the wiki it doesn't work on 64 bit systems, shame.
