Music In Subfolders
#1
Alright, I've been building an HTPC using XBMC and I've hit a snag recently. I have all of my music downloaded to the box, but in order to access it, I have to sift through two or three subfolders to get to each song/album art/etc. (I downloaded it from Google Music, so everything is grouped in a artist/album/song style folder system) Is there a way to get XBMC to "ignore" the folders or do I need to run a script the put all the mp3's in one folder? It really limits the usefulness of the music player if it's in separate folders.

Welcome to the XBMC forums.

If you scan your files to your music library, you can then display them in many ways (without having to navigate through your file structure): album, artist, track title, genre, etc.
