[HINT] "WebGrab+Plus" - a tv-guide website XMLTV grabber

Hi folks,

one of the most important things when watching tv is a good EPG support. Often EPG information broadcasted by channel providers are not available or faulty. Here it is where the web grabber - grabbing tv guide sites - comes into play. Most TV Servers (backends) support XMLTV (which is a file format for representing tv information) import, some like VDR have xmtlv and web grabbing plugins. There are some websites providing tv guide information in xmltv format, but not many.

WebGrab+Plus rockz it all - support for more than 100 tv guide web sites world wide, could be enhanced since the support is provided by special ini files containing parsing rules.

Unfortunately written for windows with heavy usage of NET-Framework, hope it will run with WINE so it could be used tvheadend too ..

I couldn't get it to work with wine, but I'm a noob. Big Grin If anybody does I would be happy on some help on the way.

Managed to install it just fine but running it turned out to be a problem, I posted about it on the website itself already, error message at which I got stuck:

Code:
"Exception details: System.NotImplementedException: The requested feature is not implemented.

Hi,
It's my first time using webgrab plus because a friend told me I can download both from tvguide and el mundo. But el mundo works well. But the output from tvguide does not compensate the hour difference. I know it works coz when I use the xmltv_GUI programme it works well. One thing I notice is that it downloads correctly but when it goes to output it pauses and displays error and then outputs without the time difference to the xml file, I think!!!
here is my input
<channel update="i" site="tvguide.co.uk" site_id="86" xmltv_id="BBC1">BBC1</channel>
site {url=tvguide.co.uk|timezone=UTC+01:00|cultureinfo=en-GB}
Also in the configuration of iptsimpletv, I enter +1 hours for all channels and it doesn't work either.
Any suggestions?
THANKS IN ADVANCE
PS. i also tried with radiotimes.com and the same thing.

Make sure you have the latest .ini files for the sources you are grabbing from.

The site content changes over time so the ini files need to be modifyed. Therefore you should allways check if you have the latest ini file.

Thanks, but I used the updated ini files and channel xml files. I worked it all out, the reason it was not appearing in my channel display was because of the offset, I had to wait an hour for the display to register, but when I open the timeline the info was all there, the reason el mundo was being displayed was because it had no offset. What a dummy, I am!!!

Sorry about the trouble.
