Hi,
I am receiving error: "playback failed, one or more items failed to play, check the log file for details" when I attempt to play video. I am trying to play videos from Windows via SMB. I click a video and sometimes it will load but then it has terrible buffering. Usually the video does not load and get the error above.
Here is log: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=3579
System Info
Windows 7 32 Bit
NVIDIA nForce 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet
Apple TV 2 - 5.0.2 (also tried on 4.4.4)
XBMC Darwin 11.0.0
Connecting through Windows Network SMB
Additional Details:
I was on 4.4.4 and everything was working fine. I went on vacation for 3 weeks and when I came back I started getting this issue. So, I realized 5.0.2 was jailbreakable so I upgraded but same thing was happening.
Then I decided to format my Windows PC since it was time anyway, but that didn't help. I even moved the videos to a new hard drive.
Also, I don't know if its related but when I try re-adding the videos to XBMC it always asks for password now. I didn't before. The only way I can even get to the list of videos is by creating a password to windows acct then using those credentials when XBMC forces me to enter them.
I've been stuck on this for several days. Hoping someone on here can help!
Thanks
