Hi guys,

here's the log with debugging enabled: http://pastebin.com/BkRdzApP

Nothing fits together here. The crashreport is from 2012-06-10 13:01:20.860 -0700 and crashes because of video playback.

The xbmc.log is from 14:31 and looks like a wanted and normal shutdown (no crash)

the syslog is from some complete different times (maybe even a different day).

So its not about posting some crashlog, some xbmc.log and some syslog. Its important that all 3 catch the same moment...

As stated in the iOS FAQ disable the extraction of thumbnails.

suggestions:

downgrade to 4.3
change to default skin (confluence)
use ip instead of name for your share.

mhh you are crashing in ffmpeg. Haven't seen these sort of crashes for while now. Since your server seems to run ubuntu you could try with another protocol (ftp, nfs) for ruling smb out...

should be an incompatibility with that specific movie (the one that cause the crash) ?
i've just tried two different movies and both run like a charm...no problems at all

didn't realise that it only crashs on that one ... sure - movie might be wonky...

fine..
supposedly that movie faulty, 1°st bug(crash) seems fixed .
the "extraction of thumbnails" option that u suggest me to disable should cause randomly crash, not during playback ?

Just leave the extractor of - it could try to extract a thumb even during start ov playback and crash then...
