XBMC + Notebook
#1
This isn't particularly specific to XBMC -
But I have XBMC running on my notebook which is connected to my LCD TV.

Originally when I connected via HDMI - playing movies from XBMC the audio would come through my TV speakers (which is what I want)

Now when I plug my notebook in today I notice that the audio is coming from my notebook speakers instead. Also when I play movies on VLC.

Any idea how to fix this - so the audio comes from my TV speakers?

This happens to mine sometimes as well. Two things I do to fix it. Check the settings in the system menu and ensure the audio device selected is still the HDMI port, then restart xbmc. Second thing is sometimes on my tv ( a first gen plasma ), the hdmi port doesn't alway initialize correctly so I have to power the tv off and restart it. Mine make an audible click when it completely powers off but takes about 7-10 seconds after the screen goes dark to completely power down. Give that a try.
