Zotac Zbox ID82 Plus- UK Stockists?
#1
Hi to One and All,

Been following various posts on the Zbox ID82 on this forum so that I can enjoy the XBMC experience on my TV.

I'm seriously considering buying this product however, I am struggling to find a stockist in the UK.

Any suggestions please?

Thanks in anticipation to a reply.

Edit-
Forgot to say that i have found this link, however I am not tech savvy to understand whether the german stockists' specification will suit a UK user??

As far as I'm aware the only difference between the ID82 and ID82+ is the latter comes with ram and a HD where as the former you have to supply your own. The ID82 is available in the UK from;-

Hi roidy,

Thanks for your reply and if you are correct then this wouldn't appear to be good value as the ID82 Barebone is for sale at ambros.co.uk is £342.00 whereas the ID82 Plus on skinflint website is £357.03.

So my next question would be....could I buy a Hard Drive and RAM for £15?

As I said before I'm not tech savvy but I don't think I could buy the HD and RAM for such a price?

and also if I could get hold of a HD and RAM so cheap how easy would it be for a 'lay man' like me to add this to the ID82 motherboard?

And Finally, my initial question still stands regarding whether or not the products on the skinflint website would be suitable for an end user in the UK?-

Thanks again!

I never said it was a good deal or cheaper. You said you were struggling to find a UK supplier so I posted one for you. If you order one from germany then it's going to come with a german power plug, as long as the power supply is the correct voltage for the UK then all you'd need to replace is the power lead with a UK one. Beside that I assume it would work exactly the same as a UK model, however without more information I can't be sure.

Don't forget the price on skinflint dosen't include postage to the UK so there's another 15 quid or so on top of the price.

@ Roidy

I wasn't implying that you were suggesting the ambros supplier was a good deal, I was just passing comment on the two comparable prices. Anyhow Thank you for your suggested supplier though, much appreicated.

In all honesty I don't think there are any other UK stockists available at the mo. Maybe someone else out there knows different?

Maybe just have to wait a while for a more competitive market as I don't particularly fancy buying a product which is specifically for the german end user. Sad
