Internet: "Not connected, check network settings"
#1
This is my situation:
The internet is working fine on the PC windows vista but XBMC is having issues. When I look in the network information in the systinfo in XBMC, it says:
Link: Connected
MAC address: my address
blah blah
Internet: "Not connected, check network settings"

I need a tutorial on how to fix this error. Im a newbee that needs help.Thanks.

Is your Vista fully up to date and at least running Service Pack 2? There seems to be other issues with Vista as well. As for networking, XBMC relies on the OS entirely for network access. I do not know of any settings inside of XBMC to tweak unless you need to use a proxy.

Is the XBMX proxy setting enabled (with nothing filled in)?

Hmm. I have no other ideas. There are no other setting for the network inside of XBMC. You could post a link to a debug log to see if that gives us any clues.
