Party mode info on wiki

http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Mus...Party_Mode is the information in that link outdated? The reason I ask is there appears to be a "Random songs.xsp" with the display name "Party Mode Music" created by default. When looking for music playlists I use "special://musicplaylists" but if someone has followed the info above their "partymode.xsp" won't be displayed. Does XBMC still look in this location? I don't have that file and party mode seems to work fine for me so I guess not.

Likely outdated, but I'm unfamiliar with the specifics of Party Mode. I'll try to find out and update the wiki accordingly (and this thread).

It seems the "Random songs.xsp" may have been created by me and there is no "Party mode" playlist by default. Sorry about that. At a minimum I'd say they belong in their respective dirs (music or video) but why not include a party mode playlist by default?

You used to be able to create a smart playlist called "PartyMode.xsp" that would dictate how party mode would behave.
That functionality seems to have been changed. Now the party mode playlist is stored in the userdata directory instead of the playlist location and the new functionality is not documented. Also it means that Party Mode settings are not shared in MySQL environments.

Edit:
Now every playlist can also be played in party mode, by bringing up the context menu on the playlist and selecting "Play in party mode".

Edit2:
The redirect is somewhat misleding. http://kodi.wiki/view/PartyMode.xsp points to http://kodi.wiki/view/Playlists#Party_Mode_playlists which includes no information on party mode.
The Party mode playlist is a "Smart Playlist" and that page (http://kodi.wiki/view/Smart_playlists) has no info on party mode. It wasn't until my google fu (or the lack of) got me to this page I found some relevant info.
I think it's obvious that this needs some restructuring. I'd suggest having a party mode section on http://kodi.wiki/view/Playlists
and that http://kodi.wiki/view/Basic_playlists#Pa..._playlists should be moved to the smart playlist page. where the PartyMode.xsp redirect would point to.

Was the documentation ever updated? From what I see it's still outdated.
I use Kodi 16.1, in the Video Playlists section I have a playlist called "Party mode playlist" which I want to remove, but I can't find any information about it. There is no PartyMode.xsp and grep didn't find anything either. Is this hard coded into Kodi?

The option for music party mode and music video party mode is hard-coded in the UI. If they don't exist, the first time you select them in the UI the SmartPlaylistEditor dialog pops up and you can set rules or just accept defaults and when you close the dialog the files PartyMode.xsp or PartyMode-Video.xsp respectively are created in the main userdata folder -- not Playlists (at least on windows and android, assume the same on other platforms). Note that any smart playlist of type songs, musicvideos, or mixed can be played in party mode via the UI.
