Different view types for different TV shows

I have two smart playlists set up for my TV shows - one has all the kids TV and the other has all the stuff my wife and I want to watch. We would like to hide episodes we have watched and sort things into seasons but the kids don't care about seasons and will quite happily watch the same episode again and again. Is there any way to have different view settings for the two playlists?

I'm running Openelec 1.95 PVR, I think, and Aeon MQ2 skin.

Sure, just use Profiles in addition to the playlists. The two profiles will share the same library, but keep separate settings and watch statuses. You can even use the additional profile to keep a different library based on source location, so you wouldn't need the smart playlist.

From what I read about Profiles I'd need to switch between the two profiles each time I wanted the change in view settings. This is probably too many steps to make it wife friendly. I can imagine her having a go at me for "losing" all her TV programs and me having to explain how to switch profiles. Again.

Any other methods that might achieve what I'm after? Is it something that could be built into a skin?

No other way to have two different sets of watched statuses.

I can live with watched statuses being the same - but is there any way that the view settings for each playlist can be different? For instance, have a list view for Adult stuff and a wall view for Kid stuff?

I think it may skin-specific, but I have no problems with different views for different playlists - at least playlists that are accessed from the home menu - in Aeon Nox.

I have the same situation you have too, Kids stuff and Parents stuff.

Thanks Thrak. It does seem to be a skin feature so I just need to select a skin that supports it. Aeon Nox seems to be the way to go!
