Hi all,
XBMC is not recognizing certain tv show files so that I'm only seeing most but not all the episodes in library mode OR when browsing files directly. I've tried clearing set content and re-scanning, but it seems that certain files aren't even being picked up in the file list directories. The particular show I'm having issue with is the third season of modern family. All episodes are named properly in a "showname.1x01.episodename" format and I'm using theTVDB to scrape. I've also tested the missing files in VLC to make sure they weren't broken - they weren't. Any ideas what the problem might be? Why won't XBMC recognize certain episodes in the file list?

The same thing is happening to me but with movies as well as tv shows. It just started happening and I have done the same troubleshooting as above.

If you don't see the files when viewing by file/folder, then the problem is likely a permissions issue.

Hidden directories/files perhaps?
