Hi Folks,
we wrote a review regarding the startup of windows 8 in combination with xbmc. If you move a xbmc shortcut into the autostart folder of your system, run the program via batch or even as a task, you will not be able to control the program without changing some settings.
However the duration of the startup took ~44 seconds (Win 8, AMD E350, 32 GB Patriot SSD, 2GB DDR3 RAM Single-Channel). We found a way to boot xbmc within 34 seconds (same system) and want to share this way with you.
Unfortunately our tutorial is written in german. Please use Googles translator and let me know if you got problems setting up this configuration. I'm going to help you with it!
