Looking for IR receiver for Logitech Harmony remote
#1
I've been seeing people talk about the HP IR receiver and I was just wondering if this was the best or if others have had good success with other receivers.

Off topic: Does any one know of an IR receiver for PS3 that works with the Harmony remotes?

PS3 uses bluetooth. Not looked into this for years but got a feeling you have to use the logitech ps3 adapter

I was in the same Harmony/no IR situation and got this one: http://www.amazon.com/Windows-Control-In...s=vrc-1100

Nice and cheap, the the receiver has given me no problems. The remote works okay, too.

Detailed in the later pages it shows you how to buy just the dongle for $7.00 shipped. I use it with a Harmony One and it's perfect.

I should have mentioned that I've looked at that one. I've seen some mention an IR receiver from Auvio that works on PS3. Sadly I can't find the product anywhere.

Are you using the CIR on an ASRock board?

Would this still control multiple devices?

I've been considering this as well. I'd be going for a Harmony 200 just to keep the costs down. I may upgrade the remote in the future though.
EDIT:I say the Harmony 200 because I can pick one up from eCost for $9.00
