I've done this several times with success. At no point are you prompted for old license keys or media.

Dougie: I trust you,..it's just that I don't trust Microsoft. I'm one of those "Doubting Thomas" types. I need to try it myself before I believe it can be done. Big Grin

Since day 1, every second Microsoft OS has been pretty bad. So far, it looks like 8 is following that trend.

Exactly. I just did it myself a couple months ago. Works just fine. It activated and still does all the updates no problem.

Google "Win7 Double Install Method". Works quite well and I have used it more than once.
