Perhaps I'm being really dumb, but when creating the file in my userdata folder, and adding the following code;

<musiclibrary>
    <hideallitems>true</hideallitems>
</musiclibrary>

this should hide the all albums line in the music library....right...

But for some reason the xml file doesn't appear to be read. I've added a line
<splash>false</splash> to the file to check if it works, and the splash screen still remains.

What am I doing wrong please?

Edit: Yes. Indeed I was being fantastically dumb. I hadn't embedded these tags inside the <advancedsettings> tag.
I would have deleted this post, but it wont allow me to.
