If it is 1:1 blu-ray ripped, it is stutter on my E350......if it is transcoded to low bitrate using HandBrake, it is fine....(2012-06-25 05:22)bluray Wrote:(2012-06-25 05:01)Dougie Fresh Wrote: What about launching an external player such as MPC-HC from XBMC?It worked fine, but you have to use this code "<hidexbmc>true</hidexbmc>" in playercorefactory codes "Another External Player Code, but Very Simple to Setup".....it is stutter when set to "false".......

That G530/H61 systems is a great choice too -- it gives you a lot of options and much more horsepower -- for just a few bucks more.

MKV's are video files that compress a bluray disc movie to a single video file, so MKV's are usually smaller. It can be ranged from 2GB to even 15GB.I know......my Avatar is 49 GB (1:1 ripped to ISO).......if I convert it to MKV with just the main movie (which mean without all the extra features), it'll be smaller file......some of my kid movies, I used tsMuxeR to strip everything by muxing it to smaller m2ts file (w/ just the main video/audio/english sub)...... >Alienware X51- do it all HTPC >Simplify XBMC configurations >HOW-TO Bitstreaming using XBMC I refused to watch movie without bitstreaming HD audio! |

I have all of my media stored on a WindowsXP machine that has an OS drive and then 4x2TB drives that are dedicated to media storage. Currently I have the 4 drives shared and my wired Windows 7 HTPCs stream from these four SMB shares. If I go with a purely Openelec XBMC will I be able to connect to the SMB shares even though they are on a Windows box?
