It says "Error, Not Authorized" when I click on the drive. Any suggestions? I had a work around but now I have a kernel panic whenever I try to copy something over.
Please Help.

Seems like a permissions issue? Check permissions on the drive to ensure non-owners are at least allowed read-only access.
Edit: Just re-read your post... if you are trying to write files to that drive, you'll need to provide read-write access.

It took me some time but I figured out what was happening. The hard drive was failing. I bought a newer bigger hard drive and everything runs peachy. I had to run Ubuntu off a flash drive then run the disk utility in order to get a diagnostic on the drive inside the computer.
