I am currently using Eden with Xubuntu 12.04 as my operating system.
I have the remote VRC-1100 that worked fine straight out of the box but now it has stopped working. Some of the buttons work but others don't. I have tried to re-install xbmc but this has not solved the issue.
Has anyone seen this before or can offer any suggestions?

Check your XBMC system setting for input devices to verify that the option to send remote button presses as keypresses is selected.
If that doesn't work, enable debugging in XBMC and press some of the remote keys (ones that work and ones that don't work). Look in the debug log to see how XBMC responded to the various key presses. You may need to setup a custom keyboard.xml with definitions for the keys that don't work "out-of-the-box". |
