This MAY be the problem
Not all of these use the same video GPU so performance will vary
CPU on these vary and so does screen resolution - so a weak cpu trying to "translate" video from 1 resolution to another may be impossible on certain devices.
Ram amount vary, android versions vary (API's on ICS 4.0 that deal with video optimizations may not exists in 3 or lower)
