Chopped sound playing AVIs
#1
I'm running XBMC 11 on a ATV2.

Whenever I play a file stored in the ATV2 itself, it's common that I get about a minute of chopped sound when I start the file. I don't know if it's normal.

But on some cases, I have some (not all) AVI files that always play with chopped sound during all of it's length. These files play fine on a PC (both under VLC and XBMC for windows), so it's not a bad file.

I already tried to change both the Audio settings on the ATV2 and on the audio hardware settings on XMBC without success.

I would like to know how to correct these.

Thanks.

Hard to tell without a debug log (iOS XBMC.log (wiki)), but that almost sounds like you have sync settings set to drop audio. Check your settings at Settings/Videos/Playback (wiki) and make sure" Sync playback to display " is unchecked.
