Currently I have crytalbuntu on my ATV 1st Gen HDD.
I am planning to now install crystalhd-15.

Can anyone please advise on necessary tips and steps so my installation can go easy? And also any tips to get full advantage of my crystalhd card?

Since you're running Crystalbuntu, you already have all the drivers and everything software-side set up. All you have to do is remove the 4 screws, open the ATV1 up, and replace the card (and close it again). After that, everything should be detected and work automatically. You should see a new option (already enabled, I believe) in Settings/Videos/Playback (wiki) showing the CrystalHD card being used for hardware acceleration playback.

Thanks Ned, I will look for it today once I install, however just wanted to take precautions since many people reported they are seeing shuttering with LiveTV after installing crystalHD, which is totally opposite then what the purpose is
