OSX Fanart CPUUsage
#1
Hi!

Everything works fine with XBMC with me, with one particular exception: I turned on fanart-cycle in all backgrounds (menue, movie-lists, music-playback) and that's some kind of problem for my CPU. I don't hear any noise from the MacBookPro when watching movies, but when the picture cycle starts, all fans are at maximum, MacBook is on full CPU usage.

Is that normal? Is some picture slider such a task for a CPU? I could turn that off, no prob, but it would interest me, if I'm doing sth wrong.

Cheers!

I would say its unrelated to the picture slide and your fans will scream even if you turn it off. Read about dirty region rendering in the wiki for reducing these issues.
