Ok, confirmed. It's also happening in the Metropolis skin, so this is NOT skin specific.

I tried various skins but Metropolis is the only one that offers views that are similar enough to Nox to compare properly. The others don't give you a Season poster in the same functional area.

I've narrowed it down to a very specific combination of things:

1. More than one Season of the same Series in the library.

2. You are working with an episode from a more recent Season than the earliest Season in the library.

3. You MUST have the filter set to "Unwatched".

4. You MUST have the "Flatten setting" turned on for a single Season so that when you navigate to the Episode list from the main Series view, you don't first get to pick a Season folder, you go straight to the list of unwatched episodes.

And that's about it.

I did also inspect the databases thoroughly last night and run several queries on various things but nothing in there looked helpful. The textures database doesn't seem to contain any reference to any ".tbn" files or Season posters at all and
in the Videos database the only artwork that is ever mapped to anything is the thumbnails, by the looks of it.

I don't have time right now to clear my userdata etc. but I might give that a go on the weekend when I've got a gap. To be honest though, I suspect that it won't resolve this because this looks to me like a consistent issue under the specific conditions I've described above, and being a programmer myself I can picture in my head how the code is probably handling the situation and where it's probably going wrong.

I did pull down the Aeon Nox source last night via GitHub and I took a look at the Views etc., but I actually think the problem is in the underlying XBMC source code, so I might pull that and have look in there too this weekend.

Thanks for all your help and advice so far Phil65.
