I use iOS and Ubuntu versions. Both with same issue (aparently download and nothing happens).
I was intrigued and looked into more details: Seems like all subtitle files are being properly downloaded and extracted (when compressed). They are only not being copied with the same file name into same directory. When I use the add-on, files are properly available at 'sub_tmp' directory (/var/mobile/Library/Preferences/XBMC/userdata/addon_data/script.xbmc.subtitles/sub_tmp). If I go to "Audio Options" and manually browse to this directory, subtitles works fine. Please keep it up this amazing job with this unique add-on ! This is my favorite ![]() Cheers ! K. additional info: My files are in a NAS. I believe it could be related to UniCode while writing the file. Not an issue with permissions (tried to create a batch file to copy and rename the .srt and worked fine in Ubuntu).

I had same problem ( and a solution):
- download subtitle -> get the list of subtitles, choose one -> apparently is downloaded and stored - but when back to the video NO subtitle appear. I have two XBMC installations, one on Linux, another on Windows 7 important: the media (video and subtitle ) are on a Synology NAS , shared folders via SMB (windows sharing) the problem occours ONLY for the XBMC in Linux ; the xbmc in windows work without problem ( subtitle is available) My SOLUTION: I discoreved that the problem is a permission conflit / error for the Linux XBMC, BUT it don't depend on linux itself : is a problem of permission on the NAS in summary : for the nas shared folder you must also set the privileges for the "LOCAL group" to RW (read & write) ( it is required but not sufficent to use an user with the RW permission on that share) apply the RW privilege to LOCAL group and the download will store correctly ------- I wish to attach a picture of the Nas config but I don't know how to do ... |
