Just wondered if you would mind a post here - the site that was xbmc4xbox.org has apparently been left unpaid and subsequently closed down - would TeamXBMC for old time sake allow this post to be left as I know you don't support Xbox any more but there are many of us who use multiple platforms including myself still floating about.

We just need to get word to the members or even the owner of the old site.

The site is now residing at http://www.xbmc4xbox.org.uk

A few words from BuZz - AKA Exobuzz

Hi,

I am BuZz - current developer of xbmc4xbox - "exobuzz" on the currently offline http://www.xbmc4xbox.org site.

Some Q/A for the situation:

What has Happened?

The http://www.xbmc4xbox.org site was hosted and managed by someone else. they have not been around since the end of May, and at the end of June, the site went offline for non payment. So far efforts to contact the admin have failed, and there has been no luck to bring it back online even temporarily as the hosting provider is only accepting payments from the account owner.

This was always my worry when not hosting the project myself, and when only one person has access to the system.

I am currently working on creating a new project site for xbmc4xbox - which this forum will be a part of. Once things are set up, I will give another trusted person full access to the system, to avoid this situation every happening again.

That's a pretty crappy situation. I'm sure nobody would mind if this thread sticks around so others can find the new site. Maybe a sticky is in order.

Thanks for the support HTPC Guy Wink

I'm pretty sure some of the code BuZz has added to the spectacular job TeamXBMC did with the Xbox has also found its way back into the mainline, so all good really Big Grin

I've updated links on the wiki, and if you guys need any help pulling old info from our wiki just let me know. Nothing has been deleted, so it's all still there from the time up until we dropped official support.

You can make easy links to the XBMC wiki using double brackets around words: [[debug log]] = debug log, [[Add-on:YouTube]] = Add-on:YouTube, [[Adding videos to the library]] = Adding videos to the library, [[userdata]] = userdata, etc

to be honest, I spent most time putting spectacular code from the xbmc devs into xbmc4xbox Wink - however, i have fed back a few bug fixes here and there.

Good work and good luck exo. My sister and her kids still use XBMC 4 Xbox on a daily basis. I've posted about the issue on our Facebook page. And if there's anything else we can do to help, we'll do our best.

Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.
Do not e-mail XBMC-Team members directly asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules.
For troubleshooting and bug reporting please make sure you read this first.

Thanks Ned and Nate, really appreciate the help! Smile

Yep my Mrs and my son still use our Xbox daily too! my son has already killed a blu-ray player and numerous disks but the Xbox shrugs off everything he can throw at it from food being shoved in the DVD drive to the remote ending up in the bathroom full of water! I can thoroughly recommend the old girl as a 'kid-proof' media player!

Thanks again!
