I like to use XBMC to play my music, but I don't want to consume unnecessary watts while doing so. So I will load a playlist, and then turn off the monitor. I am guessing here, but doesn't a pc use more power if the GPU is still active?
Anyway, I tried setting the option in System -> Power Saving -> Put display to sleep when idle -> 20mins, but as soon as 20 minutes has passed, the music stops until I move the mouse, or do anything that brings the display up from sleep. Is there a way around this?
