(QUARTZ RELOADED) - re-released as AMBER

First of all many thanks to:

Big_Noid & Phil65 for letting me use some of their textures from Aeon Nox . All credits also to Djh_ , author of the original Aeon skin, as those textures were used in Quartz Reloaded as well. I have modified most of them to my needs but this release would not be posible without their work. Many thanks guys!

As Quartz Reloaded is based on original Quartz code, I would also like to thank Quartz users for suggestions and problem reporting which helped making the skin problem free and a great base for further improvements.

This is a work in progress. It will run stable and problem free, but you can expect that views and features will be added or slightly modified as the skin moves towards it's final stage.

I should probably also state that this skin is not meant as an AEON alternative but rather supplement which means you won't find stuff like extra fanart, weather widgets, cd-art, clear-art and similar here. In case you want this I suggest using latest version of Aeon Nox, which you can find here.

If you want great looks but don't need all the extra stuff - give Quartz Reloaded a go.

In order to install Quartz Reloaded

- grab a ZIP file from here.
- goto Addons -> install from zip -> and browse for the zip file you've downloaded.

I will post all future updates there.

can u include a list of features in skin. Screenies look amazing and i tested it out on my atv2 and the performance is soo snappy and works great.

Can you include bigger fonts somehow or add as another option. The fonts seem kinda small on my 50in screen. Also would be nice to have the current weather icon show up by the time.

Love the way u did the custom menus and recently added.

Also any support for the below
tv and movie logos
Cdart
Artist slideshow
Weather widgets

Cd art support, artist logos, and tv show clearart / logo support would be great.

None of the extra features is supported ATM, with exception of Artist slideshow (if you have it installed skin should utilize it). I'm keeping my ears open for suggestions and things may change in the future but I probably won't be adding all extra stuff to the skin. You are right that this info should have been part of the first post so I've just added it.

For ATV2 users, I recommend lowering resolution of home screen backgrounds to 1280x720 or using your own. Also, if you know how - packing textures into XBT will improve performance further. If you don't know how to do this just leave them as they are or wait for release in official repo (this may take a while, though).

How is this related to Quartz? It looks like a completely different skin.

Thanks. I would like to have cdart and weather widgets as my requests, lol. Right now i dont see the home menu weather option at all. I see it when scrolling to change backgrounds but dont see it when trying to enable it in menu customization.



Another small suggestion is when scrolling in showcase view if the user presses down u could bring up the info of the movie.

Also the fonts are very very small. I can barely read them from 7 ft awat. See pictured above. This is from 7 ft away... my couches are like 10-12 ft away.

Not at all...it's a fine skin...I just think if it's to be named Quartz (anything) it should have SOME kind of asthetic resemblance, that's all.

No criticism. I just don't get it.
