Heya the main reason I'm running the monthly build is because of the new audio engine. I don't think this is incorporated into eden official?

I think it might be a memory issue after all the only problem with the apple tv 2, otherwise it would be a perfect xbmc device!

iOS 5 has more limited resources, iOS 4.3 is fine in this regard. You are experiencing problem that is related to recent ATV2 builds.

Just to update this thread, I have resized my thumbnails to a smaller size (and my fanart) and this seems to have resolved most of my crashout issues - so this isn't the skin, just the apple tv box low on memory! Hopefully the apple tv3 will be jailbroken sometime so the memory will double and this might not be as much of an issue!

I had another query if I can ask - I have an eye condition and I struggle with high contrast - basically, I get ghost images so when looking at white writing on black/ grey I see loads of duuplicates (its great fun!). It helps when you can resize text a bit, and I wondered if it's something for xbmc itself or the skin, whether fonts could be tailored to different sizes in the menus etc? Or whether there is a way of amending/ tailoring the font colour or the background colour on the menus?

Great skin!

I'm testing it on Raspbmc an it runs really well, much faster than Aeon which is nearly unusable. Before that i used original Quartz but now I can have the snappiness of Quartz with the looks of Aeon, thank you.

One thing, the submenu on home should be dimmed more, depending on the background image it's not very readable.

One more thing, I can't change the "Favorites" backdrop.

Amethyst is a form of quartz that ranges from a bright to dark or dull purple color. © Wiki. Onyx too.

Onyx would be an excellent name.

I would to see a fix for this also love the skin and performs well with my raspberry pi all the other backgrounds change to what i want apart from the Favs

Absolutely Love this skin - Can't wait for TV show Logo and Clearart support.
This skin runs super fast like a cut down hybrid of Aeon cross something else.


As far as name suggestions in the mineral category you could go with Opal a type of dark gem found in the earth which resembles the dark styled skin..
or outside that category you could go with Luna, Fission, Helix as a few suggestions. But definitely name change in order this skin in my personal opinion is far greater to use than the original quartz skin and looks nothing like it.
