Vision 3D not turning off completely with remote

Just getting familiar with my new toy. Using the remote, when I power off, it seems to go off ok except that the button on the front flashes on and off. If I press power again, the unit starts up straight away indicating that it didn't completely shut down. Any suggestions how to get it to power down completely with the remote?
