I think your having the same issue as me with the newer release although there are some other reports about repo errors earlier today

Its about no icon after install see
http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=135464

There's another issuse going on with an incompatible version of SSH, if you update your ATV2 via nito or apt-get you will lock yourself out of the ATV2 and have to re-crack again.

@harryshields

It's quite hard to read and understand your post.

Take a deep breath, slow down and explain step by step what you're doing and what the problem is.

Regarding "closed by a remote host" - this sounds like a message you would expect when you're ssh'd in to the ATV2 and you then reboot the ATV. As the ATV closes down, it will stop the ssh process, disconnect from the network etc, so will kick you out of your ssh - that message you're seeing looks like an error but is not. if anything it's confirming that the ATV is rebooting.

I hope that helps and you can get this working.

i followed my install instructions from xbmchub and there was 2? user prompt instances. you have to input on keyboard the letter "y" for yes without the quotations. during my install i didn't catch it, seccond time around and understanding the instuctions i caught it and everyhting was good for me.

are you doing the wiki insturctions and so i don't know if there is a user input required like the xbmchub instructions.

Okay, you need to read the output you're given.

Follow the current install instructions on the XBMC wiki. You need to manually create the directories.

No he removed the package by hand as it seems. Based on that output he had 11.0-4 installed, then deleted the XBMC.frappliance folder manuallly (by rm) and then tried to install 11.0-3. The 11.0-3 installer thinks 11.0-4 is still installed and tries to deinstall it. This fails because the XBMC.frappliance folder is already missing.

So basically yeah you need to mkdir /Applications/XBMC.frappliance and try again. And for the future try to understand what you are doing when typing in commands.
