I've just ordered myself an ODroid-X and will be happy to report back performance/issues etc when I receive it. Smile

I've just received mine, still waiting for my micro-HDMI cable though Confused. Still, it's very cute and can't wait to power it up when I have my cable. And it's the only quad-core machine in my home :-)

What can I do to contribute? How many XBMC users have ordered it anyway?

Hello, I have not seen this board before but its very interesting. I have this: http://androidtvbox.us/products/g-box-midnight/

Can you tell me if they share the same processor/video specs (different variations of Mali400 High Performance HD GPU ,A9 Neon Cortex CPU) ?? I have tried N64 emulators in Android on the g-box and nothing performed like the video of the ODROID-X.

Thanks.

The ODROID-X is more powerful. That is why you are getting lag on your G Box...

Hello everyone,
I'm thinking about buying an odroid-x cause of the great specs. I just want to be sure that i can get xbmc runnning on it.
How can I find out if xbmc works with this board or if there is a xbmc port for this chip / chipset coming!?

Thanks

It will run on it, but has no hardware acceleration support (yet). It can play some 720 files since it has a very powerful CPU (for an ARM processor, that is), but will struggle on others and any 1080 content. Like all Android hardware, we can't know for sure if it will work out for hardware decoding, so we don't recommend buying anything until it can be confirmed.

You can make easy links to the XBMC wiki using double brackets around words: [[debug log]] = debug log, [[Add-on:YouTube]] = Add-on:YouTube, [[Adding videos to the library]] = Adding videos to the library, [[userdata]] = userdata, etc

Driver support is being worked on, they expect it to be done somewhere in October. Right now you can try XBMC for Android, I haven't done that yet. I'm using it as my workstation right now since it is absolutely silent (and I'm experiencing my music quite differently now :-)). Next month I'll have more time for testing.
