Best I can tell there's no IR input... are there any known IR receivers that work well with Android?

Also, is it any more likely that HW acceleration and IR input would be working in Linux than Android, since Ubuntu 12.10 listed as supported?

for hardware accel, im positive that it'll be there soon enough.
on their official forum, they said its in the works.

mean while, even tho there's no IR input,
we all know that Flirc.TV dongle works with android.

HOLY CRAP DO WANT

That heatsink is practically a case for it.

Cheap ARM hardware seems to change every week, but for this week I declare the ODROID-U2 the king.

Nah, if you run XBMC on it you should get rid of Android. Just buildroot, linux kernel and required libraries and binaries and thats it.

Android is for touch devices. GoogleTV might be an option later on the road, but for now... No Android for me.

Such a shame the shipment is half of the board cost?

They probably decided to go with premium service.
"6. International orders are shipped via Fedex which can take approximately 2-3 days for delivery..."

I don't think they aim at the end users and hobbyists market.
I guess that for the professional development market time is much more important than cost.
It shame that they don't offer lower rate shipping services, I believe that end users and hobbyists would prefer a lower delivery fee and waiting another two weeks.

I don't agree Tongue
i like android and want XBMC as an app for it.
you just need an air mouse like the mele F10 and your set.
i still like to watch NetFlix and such.

i plan to test teamviewer for android,
and see if i can control android on my HDTV that way,

If we already mentioning here the Samsung Exynos 4412, then what about a tablet like the Ramos W30 / W30HD ?
http://www.ramos-tablet.com/ramos-w30-qu...-16gb.html
http://www.ramos-tablet.com/ramos-w30hd-...et-pc.html

Can we expect better compatibility from the Exynos 4412 with xbmc than Tegra 3 on the short run ?

And yes, I know, I won't run to buy hardware based on assumptions and not on users experience.
