Local trailer
#1
Every time I play the movie trailer, XBMC stream it from the internet, even if I already have it on my HD in the movie folder.
How can I make it to play the trailer on the HD instead of streaming from the internet?

I’m using XBMC Eden on Windows 7 with the Neon skin.

All my movies are in separate folder
Movie trailers are in the same folder as the movie

Example:
• C:\movie\300\300.avi
• C:\movie\300\300-trailer.mov
• C:\movie\Centurion\Centurion.avi
• C:\movie\Centurion\Centurion-trailer.mov

Thanks in advance!

Is there an .nfo file in there? If so, try removing it and then playing the trailer.

I have all my films in separate folders:

movie.iso
movie-fanart.jpg
movie-poster.jpg
movie-trailer.m2ts
movie-nfo.nfo

I want to see the trailers movies without have the hd on the pc, just run from network directory.
Is this possible?

Thanks in advance.

judocama, since you hijacked a very old thread:

First of all, what version of Neon and XBMC are you using ?
Second: does playing the trailers with a different skin work ? Are you sure the issue is with Neon, or is the issue general to your XBMC setup ?

I have the latest version of Frodo whith Confluence o Neon how skin.
I have all my films in separate folders in external hds:

movie.iso
movie-fanart.jpg
movie-poster.jpg
movie-trailer.m2ts
movie-nfo.nfo

I will know how play trailer in local network whithout have the hd plug in to pc.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry but I simply don't understand what you are saying, and you did not answer my questions.

Which version number of Neon do you use?
Which version number of XBMC do you use?
If you use Confluence, are you able to play local trailers ?

AEON NOX 4.0

XBMC Version 12.1 (Git-20130317-0d373cc)

CONFLUENCE 2.1.4

Yes, but I want to play local trailers in network folder, not into my external hd.

I think you will have to create an .nfo file for each movie using the <trailer></trailer> entry.

This is the Neon skin subforum. Do you even use this skin ?
I think your question has nothing to do with Neon.

I personally do not use or watch trailers at all, only streamed from the HD-trailers plugin so I can't help you, sorry.

apart from that you are being very unclear on your setup. You want to play the trailers from the network when they are not available on your HD ? It just does not make a lot of sense to me.

@judocama - as Kibje said, this isn't a Neon issue and if my suggestion of the .nfo doesn't work, you need to take it up in the feature request forum.

TvTunes work fine in network share for to play ost files.

I'll repeat it again. You are using Aeon nox. This is the Neon skin subforum.

You are using a different skin.
