I have this intermittant problem when I pause any movie/tv show and leave it more than 30sec when I resume it takes forever to resume proper playback and just stutters along. I can speed it up by fast forward/rewinding several times.

HP N40L, Windows 8, XBMC 11, Seagate Green 2TB for data, 250gb internal WD for system, ATI 6450.

Read thru this thread for some info on what may be your issue.

It boils down to 2 things, maybe a memory leak with your skin (esp if using Aeon) or you may need to try a nightly (if you are feeling brave).
