[Released] PseudoTV Manager - an easier way to configure PseudoTV channels and more.
#46
Those errors show up no matter what tv show or movie I select. My paths are all network locations but the paths don't show up in the Location field, if that's relevant at all. All of the paths are more than 6 characters, usually something like \\HTPC\TV\ShowName, etc. Is there a way to maybe produce a log that would be helpful?

Is there a way PseudoTV could be managed through the internet with this tool. I have a bunch of relatives who constantly ask me to make mods to their PseudoTV.

Something like this for Ubuntu would be nice!!!

Shocked
Hi there, getting the following error on start-up when I'm first trying to add the location of the db and settings XML file......what version of .NET should I be running?
Windows 7 Home Premium, Pseudo TV Manager v.1.02

Any ideas on this?

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

hope it helps.

Maybe someone can help as I can't find settings2.xml

I have XBMC 11 installed with the PseudoTV plugin installed.

I can find MyVideos60.db under C:\20120902\userdata\Database but not settings2.xml even after searching the entire drive.

Any help or advice please.

Running on Windows XP test system.

Have you ran PseudoTV before running this app? settings2.xml is not created until the first run of pseudotv

Yes, this is how I actually use it even though I have it on a windows HTPC I find it easier to tweak on my desktop(s).

Or, if you're using a MySQL library then it'll work as it is.

I presume I can use this same method if using an ATV2?

Hi Ryanz - Have you let PsuedoTV run at least once yet?
It needs to run once in order to create the Settings2.xml

Next Scheduled Additions as of right now will be:

1) Movie support for genres/studio, right now it's just TV series'.

2) Playlist support for real-time results when making changes/creating an entirely new playlist. The one built-into XBMC isn't bad but you have to create all the rules then query the library. I would like the ability to instantly see what changes are made/what the channel will look like much quicker.

Also, I have had it setup for alternative ports for a while so if anyone does actually need to use a port other than 3306 please let me know and I will upload that as soon as I get the word.

Hi - Was wondering if you'd gotten anywhere with the playlist support? It would be an excellent addition to an already great little app. I'd been searching everywhere for something like this until I came across a link to this thread.
Oh and by the way, your date based channel scheduling idea (shark week, christmas time etc..) great idea. I'd love this!

One more thing I think would be great and have struggled with before using PTV is time of day planning. i.e. What i really want is for instance a way to set it so that a channel would only play things within a certain rating during certain times of the day. So for instance. From 6 in the morning up to 6 in the evening it will only play videos rated PG. Then from 6 i nthe evening to 9 at night it will play anything from TV-14. Then from 9 until 6 in the morning, it would play videos rated between TV-14 and 18s or unrated for instance. Could your app somehow make this easier?

This seems like a great program and I just spent the past 2 hours finally getting everything set up and making a huge channel list and all of that cool stuff....

...and then when I opened PseudoTV, it only reads the Genre or Directory channels. Doesn't read playlists or TV networks Sad. So, something like Drama TV (TV Genre>Drama) works, but NBC doesn't (TV Network>NBC).

What's up? Also, I added a new TV show to XBMC, and it doesn't come up in the PseudoTV manager. I just spent a bunnnch of time on all of this, I just want it to work Sad

For some reason all my TV Shows are "Sci-Fi" and Movies are "Sci Fi" - are you able to bulk change genres?

Hi Daavid,

Yes, I ran PseudoTV before, it created it's default list etc but I cannot find Settings2.xml anywhere.

Settings2.xml - %appdata%\XBMC\userdata\addon_data\script.pseudotv\settings2.xml not the xmbc install directory.
Maybe you should familiarize yourself with default xmbc stuff before you start enhancing, if you break something like this and dont know the basics like where files are, you're not going to have a good time.

When you edit the network or genre in this where does it actually save that info? I would like it if saved it in the tvshow.nfo or network.nfo. I'm guessing its just saving those within some xbmc database? Which means it would not be saved if your XBMC profile is lost.

Anyway great work. I have wanted something like this from the moment I used pseudo. Thanks!!!

Why are channels 100+ listed as 1...? I just figure out what PseudoTV was yesterday. This manager makes making channels so easy. I get it the channel guide shows the whole channel number depending on what skin you are using. Seem each skin looks different,
