I updated the day it came out so none of these issues were posted yet. Also, I updated my laptops first which didn't have any [new] problems. Thought it would be safe to do the MacMini. Not so much.

lesson #1 in the update game, never, ever update until you check that your 'got to have' apps still work.

The jittering is fixed by turning off the video acceleration.

I can confirm this. However, the jitter is present on both Lion and Mountain Lion for me and ONLY on full blu rays (ISO or folder BDMV). I think it has to do with Intel HD3000 graphics. Here is what's really odd tho....

Batman Begins Blu-ray ISO - no problems (with or without video accel on)
Lord Of The Rings Extended Edition Blu-ray ISO (or folder) - severe jitter with video accel on

If I turn off video acceleration, the LOTR blu-ray ISO works fine. For reference, this is using the newest Frodo Mac OS X build. In Eden, these things work fine with or without video accel on but I of course want to try out the HD audio AudioEngine.

BTW, I can confirm this is happening in FULL SCREEN mode for me.

mediainfo on the ones that work and the ones that don't.

Ahh you know come to think of it, Batman Begins has Dolby True Digital and LOTR has DTS HD.

Nice try but nope

Batman Begins is Format : VC-1, so you don't get VDA hw decode

LOTR is Format : AVC and that can be decoded with VDA hw decode.

Just a note, I've received a new MacMini with ATI GPU and can reproduce the 'jitter', it's video frames being displayed out of order... Fixed under 10.7.4 and testing 10.8 now.

Just want to make a reminder, it was user donations that enabled XBMC foundation to purchase and send me the required osx box to replicate and fix these issues, all my OSX boxes are nvidia GPU based.

User donations are what keeps the wheels greased as XBMC devs cannot afford to personally get all the different flavors of boxes out there.
