Async blu-ray content
#1
Hi.

I have a problem with watching to blu-ray content (also after ripping with makemkv): screenshot
The sound is asynchronous to the video and have to watch round about 10min to get it in sync.
For me it looks like a caching problem because of the low aq value. This results in high sync diff (a/v) and huge error rate.

My system is an AsRock ION 330 HT-BD with OpenElec.
Is this a problem with the hard disk / blu-ray disk or is there some kind of throughput problem?
Other fullhd content (9GB file size) is played correctly.

Thanks in advance.

Are you decodign the audio or passing it through to an AV receiver? This could be the cause.
I have an ION based PC but my audio is passed through and have no problems.

I pass it through. I tested it with decoding but with the same result like you.
It's starting in sync and desyncs more and more until the sound is muting (after 30 seconds) and catching up until being again completely in sync (after 5 minutes).
Same problem after jumping forward/backward.
