Setting up Git with Aeon Nox
#31
git pull will only work on repositories. You can pretty much just cut/paste the cloned folder into skin.aeon.nox (overwrite everything) and then run the batch file to pull updates.

I did what you said but something has gone wrong

After XBMC loads i get no text at all on the home menu and pressing enter does nothing, If i press S and go to settings and back out the text shows but some are missing and others i took off are visable. I can't access the skin options either and no fanart is loading up at all.

Any idea what's happening?

you have to use latest xbmc nightly when using the GIT version of nox.

So if i install the first .exe from the link below it will work?

http://mirrors.xbmc.org/nightlies/win32/

Is the GIT version of nox updated more than the normal version as well? The reason i ask is i just removed everything and downloaded nox via XBMC to get the lastest version and it looked the same as usual but the GIT version i was trying to get to work had different fonts and looked a bit better.

yes, either nightlies + GIT version or Eden + version from official XBMC repository.

Hey, thanks a lot for this guide!

However, I'm having some trouble getting phil's bat files to work.

I get this error

C:\>pull

C:\>cd C:\Users\e2-htpc\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\addons\Aeon-Nox

C:\Users\e2-htpc\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\addons\Aeon-Nox>git pull

i wrote a new script to edit library details from within xbmc:
https://github.com/phil65/script.libraryeditor
accessible by right-click or by using dialogvideoinfo
have fun.
(doesn´t work with multiple genres/etc yet)

I am new to GIT and all this..followed the guide but my Git just sticks on Working...please wait... for a long time..as in..it never goes away...seems as if it isn't actually doing anything

Nevermind I just didn't wait long enough..once I used the bat files in the second post I noticed how long it takes Smile
