Enabling Multifinder Breaks Harmony Remote
#1
The system:
  • AppleTV 1
  • OS X
  • XBMC Eden
  • Logitech Harmony 550 Remote

The problem:

Setup worked fine for until I went into Launcher->Settings and enabled multifinder in order to have the ATV boot into XBMC on launch. After I made that change, XBMC stopped responding to some buttons on the Harmony remote. The up, down, left, right, ok, and menu buttons still worked, but the play, pause, ff, reverse, skip forward, and skip backward buttons no longer worked.

I first tried re-launching XBMC and then re-booting the ATV. No Joy. I futzed with the Harmony remote, deleted the Apple TV as a device and added it back, but the problem persisted.

When I went back into launcher->Settings, disabled MultiFinder, and re-launched XBMC, the previously broken buttons started working again. Re-enabled MultiFinder, and the buttons stopped working. Disabled MultiFinder, buttons started working.

Any suggestions? Thanks!
