My Googling did not find what I am wanting to know...

What exact enhancements does the 'Post Processing' actually do?
Is it only beneficial to 480p content?

Windows 7
XBMC 12 alpha 3 (latest nightly)

Blurs the edges of the macroblocks in old low-res videos.
This can eliminate pixlation from the video and make it's look better than it actually is.

Is it only beneficial to 480p content?
Never tried a double blind on higher quality video, so don't know.
Try if you can see the difference...
