Hello all. I am using the latest XBMC edan and applied the latest Aeon Nox skin. I added all my movies by going to Videos -> Add Source -> then i choose the folders that have my movies in them, selected Movies for content and applied the scraper (imdb).

I have blu-ray rips and dvd rips. the blu-ray rips are in folders like this:
h:/movies/
g:/movies/
and when i was told to put in a name for this source, i named it Blu-ray Rips.

my dvd rips are in j:/movies/. when asked for source name, i named it DVD Rips.

Back on the main menu, under Movies, the movies all show up perfectly. The HD movies have the blu-ray covers and the SD movies have the dvd covers. all metadata shows for every single movie. So far, so good Smile

Now, I'd love to have some custom menus on the main menu which group my movies. When i start xbmc, id like to have the main menu display a menu that says Blu-ray Rips and another that displays DVD-Rips.

So i went to the blu-ray rips file menu and added it as a favorite. same with dvd rips. then i went to settings, then the customize menu option. i choose these favorites and added them to the menu.

Now when i am at the main menu, i have a menu for Blu-ray Rips and DVD Rips, along with the others that were there...like pictures, system, music, etc. when i select blu-ray rips, all my blu-ray rips are there, but none of the info is available. no metadata shows up. no blu-ray covers.
back at the main menu, i select dvd rips. all my dvd rips are there, but again, no metadata, no dvd covers.

Is there a way I can have all the info displayed in these custom menu options? I have other catagories i want to have in the main menu, like Cartoons, 80's Movies, etc. It'd be great to have all the info there. This would be so much better than just having everything piled up together.

If anyone can help me out, I'd really appreciate it. Thank you!

you have to make a playlist and use them on the home screen

set rule to video resolution is greater than 719 for bluray list
and for dvd video resolution is less than 718
(these are 2 separate playlists btw) then add them to main menu as playlist
from playlists you can add extra rules if you want more specific lists but this should help to start with
